Our Coffee
We sell premium, 100% single origin arabica. It is available in medium roast, dark roast and decaf. Our in house by the pound is ground but you can special order whole bean or French Press ground.
Do you sell other items?
Yes, we sell ice coffee, Yoo-hoo, bottled water, danishes and Otis Spunkmeyer muffins.
Why should I buy the coffee when Sunday school classes offer it for free?
Great idea! Go to Sunday school, get free coffee! Actually, many of the classes buy our coffee by the pound because of the quality and what the profits go for. We are selling the coffee because premium coffee costs us a bit more than the cheap stuff, and because the profits go for a great cause.
Ok, so what do the profits go for?
Actually, almost all of the cost goes to missions. The cost of the actual coffee is 100% missional (world missions and church planting)! And our profits will go towards church mission trips and helping our folks through the 3D Spiritual Growth Program. The cafe is self-sustaining so no budget money is used. First time guests get free coffee coupons in their visitor bag along with a 2oz bag of our coffee so they can make a pot when they get home!
What’s so great about this coffee?
Cheap coffee is cheap for a reason - it’s lower in quality (many companies have to add flavoring so it will taste like coffee) and the migrant workers are exploited to keep the price low. In some cases child slave labor is used. Our coffee is some of the best in the world (in the top 1-2%). It is single origin, 100% Arabica, shade and cloud grown. Our bean is from Honduras and has a cupping factor of 86. We use local roasters so our coffee is roasted usually less than a month from when we serve it to you. Most coffee in the store was roasted 6 months to a year ago. We use spring water and paper cups to maintain the best flavor. And did we mention, it supports world missions, church planting and our own church missions and spiritual development? This coffee has such a great missional story and cause that we’re calling it “Joe2Go”.
