Missions

First Baptist is actively involved in missions - across the street and around the world. Please pray about how you can get involved.

Opportunities in 2012:

  • Hope Center – cooking & serving a meal for the men’s shelter in Carrollton
  • Pregnancy Resource Center – answer phones, counseling, financial support, Baby Bottle Boomerang
  • Warm Hearts Soup Kitchen – a free meal we provide the last Wednesday of every month for those in need.
  • Vacation Bible School – summer outreach to children - teachers, assistant teachers, craft & snack assistants
  • Gold Rush – (September) Local festival – help with our booth and represent our church
  • South Dakota Trip - VBS and construction projects for a small church on the Wahpeton Indian Reservation
Along with these church-wide projects, outward focused ministry is happening through our Sunday school classes, Men’s and Women’s ministries, Student, Children, Sr. Adult Ministries and many other areas of our church body! If you’d like more information on how you can get involved with our food pantry, the backpack program, Crafters for Christ, Upwards Sports, Christmas shoeboxes, Angel Tree or any of the many other opportunities listed here (and more), please feel free to contact us!

Isn’t it time you got involved in missions? We have a place for you when you make the decision to help carry the Gospel to our lost and dying world.
